Rare Square White Rose Paste Lidded Pot

Available is a rare ironstone Victorian-era White Rose Paste toothpaste pot from S. Maw, Son & Sons of London, circa 1880-1890.  S. Maw, Son & Sons was a well-known manufacturing chemist in London during this period.  In the late 19th century, before the widespread adoption of flexible tubes, tooth cleaning preparations (often paste or powder blends) were sold in shallow, lidded pots.  This pot has been recovered from a Victorian dump site.  Stained and crazed.  Chips on the inside rim of the bottom of the pot.  One small chip on the bottom edge of the pot
