Carrick's Cumberland Dairy Cream Pot
Available is an antique Carrick's Cumberland Dairy stoneware advertising pot for thick cream. It dates back to the early 1900s and features distinctive blue lettering with a cow trademark logo. Carrick's was founded in 1882 by Alderman Thomas Carrick in Low Row, a small village near Carlisle. Strategically located next to the Newcastle-Carlisle railway line, the creamery initially specialized in producing high-quality butter, milk, and cheese. There is a small chip on the bottom edge at the back of the pot as well as a rough spot in the glaze. This cream pot has been recovered from a Victorian dig site.
