"Bocquet" Mustard Advertising Pot
Available is rare antique ironstone advertising pot for "Bocquet" mustard from Normandy, France, likely dating back to around 1900. There is black transfer printing on both sides, and it was produced in Yvetot, France. There is a manufacturer's mark on the bottom for Diagoin & Sarreguemines. It is the historical coat of arms of the Duchy of Lorrainer, where the town of Sarreguemines is located. This pot has several chips on the edge of the base and rim, as well as some hairline cracks as shown in the pictures. This pot has been recovered from a Victorian dig site.
