Available is an antique Roger & Gallet "Creme d'Amandes Ameres" lidded pot from Paris, featuring black transferware text for bitter almond shaving cream. The brand was founded in Paris in 1862 by brothers-in-law Charles Roger and Charles Gallet. They quickly became prominent purveyors of luxury cosmetics, soaps, and fragrances across Europe. There are chips & hairlines on both the lid and base as shown in the pictures. This pot has been recovered from a Victorian dig site.
