This is a large hen on nest metal chocolate mold, both halves. This mold is stamped Letang Fils Paris which was one of the most famous chocolate mold makers in France. The company was originally founded in Paris in 1832 by Jean-Baptiste Letang. They became famous worldwide for creating beautifully detailed, high-quality tinned iron molds for chocolatiers and confectioners. This mold is also stamped with the model number, 3874. The number 21 inside the small oval cartouche indicates the physical sizing standard used by the foundry. Clips are missing. c1880-1900
