Ironstone Savars Cherry Tooth Paste Lidded Pot
Available is an ironstone Savars Cherry Tooth Paste lidded pot, c1880-1890. Savars was a highly popular proprietary brand name used in the late 19th and early 20th centuries by Evans, Lescher & Webb, a massive and prominent British wholesale druggist and manufacturing chemist based in London and Liverpool. There is a chip on the rim of the lid and on the edge of the base as shown in the pictures. This post has been recovered from a Victorian dig site.
