Cracroft's Areca Nut Tooth Paste Lidded Advertising Pot
Available is a Victorian ironstone Cracroft's Areca Nut Tooth Paste lidded advertising pot. The advertisement states it was prepared from the Cingalese recipe, referencing Ceylon (modern-day Sri Lanka). During the Victorian era, merchants frequently added exotic phrasing to health products to appeal to customers. There are a few small chips on the base and hairline cracks as shown in the photos. This pot was recovered from a Victorian dig site.
