This is an antique 19th-century English ceramic apothecary ointment pot for "Poor Man's Friend" cure-all salve, produced by Beach & Barnicott. The front reads Poor Man's Friend price 1/1 1/2 meaning 1 shilling and 1 1/2 pence. This pot has been recovered from a Victorian dig site.

This is a vintage/antique, pre-owned item with normal wear due to its age.
