Woods Areca Nut Tooth Paste Lidded Pot
Available is a Woods Areca Nut Tooth Paste advertising lidded pot. W. Woods formulated a recipe using ground Areca nut (also known as the betel nut). In the 19th century, areca nut was highly praised for its natural, mild abrasive properties. W. Woods operated his apothecary and manufacturing business primarily from the 1860s through the early 1900s. This pot has been recovered from a Victorian dig site. The base of this pot has 2 chips on the inside rim as shown in the photos.

This is a vintage/antique, pre-owned item with normal wear due to its age.
