Vintage Stoneware Craigmillar Creamery Company Pot
This is a vintage stoneware cream pot from the Craigmillar Creamery Company Limited, located in Liberton, Edinburgh. It features a black transfer print with the text "Warranted Genuine Craigmillar" and a small illustration of Craigmillar Castle. Alongside producing standard fresh dairy products and clotted cream shipped out in stoneware pots like this, they dominated the regional margarine and commercial fat market. There is a small chip in the lower edge of the pot and some drips in the glaze. This pot has been recovered from a Victorian dig site.
