This is a British London, Midland & Scottish Railway hotel ware cup and saucer set. The LMS Railway was formed in 1923 and consolidated more than 120 separate lines into a single massive corporation. It quickly became the largest transport organization and the largest hotel owner in Europe. This cup and saucer have staining and crazing. The saucer is stamped Ashworth Bros. Real Ironstone China England. The cup is stamped "Made in England". This cup & saucer set has been recovered from a Victorian dig site.
Saucer is 6 1/8" diameter; Cup is 3" diameter, 3" tall
Weight .81 lb.
This is a vintage/antique, pre-owned item with normal wear due to its age.
