This is an antique stoneware Frank Cooper's Oxford Marmalade advertising jar, c1900-1910. This is considered a "chubby" 1 lb. jar. It is stamped Maling Newcastle on the bottom. Maling was a massive producer of utilitarian ironstone packaging during the late Victorian and Edwardian eras. They were contracted heavily by Frank Cooper to supply these stout, durable "chubby" jars. This jar is stained and crazed. It has been recovered from a Victorian dig site.

This is a vintage/antique, pre-owned item with normal wear due to its age.
