English Stoneware Food Storage Jar
Available is a Victorian salt glazed stoneware food storage jar. They were typically sealed using manual, multi-layered methods depending on what was being preserved: the bladder and cloth method, the wax sealer technique, lard and fat top-seals or wooden bungs or corks. There are a couple chips on the lip of the jar as shown. This jar was recovered from a Victorian dig site.

This is a vintage/antique, pre-owned item with normal wear due to its age.
