This is an antique English stoneware advertising match striker and holder, commonly used in pubs and bars during the late 19th or early 20th century. It is stamped Bryant & Mays Club Matches England on the bottom as shown. There are several chips, but they add to the charm. It is stained and crazed due to having been recovered from a Victorian dig site.
5" diameter, 3" tall
Weight 1.28 lb.
This is a vintage/antique, pre-owned item with normal wear due to its age.
